# What uses your allowance

> Which things are counted, which run on your own accounts, and what to do when you run out.

Reading your own calls is included. Research costs real money to run, so a few things are counted. This page says which, and where to see what is left.

| What you do | What it uses | Where you see it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Briefs from your own calls | Included, no limit | Nowhere. It is not counted. |
| Ask Mallin, Team, Knowledge | Included | Not counted. |
| A prospect search | One search | Find prospects, top of the page. |
| A deep brief on a prospect | One deep brief | Counted separately from searches. |
| Finding an email or phone | Your own treg balance, about a penny a look | Your treg account. |
| Verifying an email with Apollo | Your own Apollo account | Your Apollo account. |
| Monitoring an account | A check on a schedule, once you track it | Monitoring. |

## Two counters, never added together

Find prospects shows both: `4 of 5 searches left` and `3 of 5 deep briefs left`. They are separate because they cost different amounts to run. Using all your briefs does not stop you searching.

## Contact lookups run on your account, not ours

When Mallin finds an email address for someone a brief already named, it spends from your own treg or Apollo balance. Nothing is looked up until you ask for it on a specific person, so the cost follows a decision you made rather than the size of a list.

## When you run out

You will see a note with a link to contact us, and we will raise your limit. There is no upgrade wall in the way and nothing stops working while you wait.

> **Monitoring only starts when you say so.** Nothing is watched until a person tracks an account. Mallin does not quietly begin checking every company it has ever shown you.
